Executive Producer 

Brad Michaelson is the President of Apple Box Pictures, a Scottsdale-based production company. Apple Box Pictures is a full-service production company that can create, develop and produce film, television, video, animated, interactive and music entertainment. Michaelson has been in the video production industry, directly or indirectly, for over twenty years. His work with advertising and marketing firms in Phoenix, Los Angeles and Chicago has allowed him to write, direct, produce and distribute materials during the industry’s most transformative and evolutionary period. Michaelson firmly believes that the business today is changing faster than anyone ever imagined, and that the changes will continue to have a staggering effect on how content is produced and distributed. He also believes that there has never been a better time to be an independent producer in the production industry.

In addition to his involvement with Apple Box Pictures, Michaelson owns Brand Canyon Co. Brand Canyon is also Scottsdale-based and is an advertising agency that specializes in brand and campaign creation and development. Brand Canyon is a big reason for Michaelson’s current production work. Most of the agency’s clients and campaigns naturally evolved into video messages; as a result, he started an in-house production company to provide better service for the clients. The Brand Canyon – Apple Box Pictures alliance represents a new concept in linear advertising, marketing and entertainment: the two companies work together to create and manage content for all aspects of the media environment.

Apple Box, together with Brand Canyon, has created scores of commercials for several campaigns over the last few years including “Expect the MAX”. Apple Box recently created and produced the Emmy-nominated AZ E 360 and is just wrapping up a much-anticipated video on the tragedy of Child Prostitution for the Maricopa County Superior Courts called “Bait and Switch”. Michaelson is a graduate of ASU, a twenty-plus year SAG member and lives in Scottsdale. A recent Emmy-winner, Michaelson writes and produces many of the studio’s projects but admits that his real talent is, “….knowing when to get out of the way and let the experts do what they do best.”
